Thanks for your comments about the Women's Conference! You'll notice, I'm not a woman... though I am married to one and have a young one! I've been involved with PMI for the past 11 years. As you've discovered, blogging is a great way to communicate. Kudos to you for your infectious desire to know God's word!
Jes,
Thought I would tell you that I went to sign my sister-in-law and myself up for this conference and they we're booked for the package of conf, room and meals. They still had room in an overflow room, but we decided to wait.
Sadly, I was so looking forward to this conference and trip, oh well; there will be a next time. Guess I shouldn't have waited so long to sign up, but the lady that answered the phone said, they filled up surprisingly fast.
Have a blessed Sunday.
Deb
Hey Deb...
Just to let you know, in case you've never been to ministry headquarters, all of the places that they might choose to put the overflow people are VERY nice and comfortable.
Also, being that we're from Chattanooga, if you want me to give you suggestions for where you could stay off-campus, that are close and cost effective, I'm happy to do that.
I would so encourage you to still go...Kay and Donna will no doubt be circulating through the dining room during breakfast and dinner...there's a good chance that you'll get to hug their necks during that time.
Also..the food on campus is FABULOUS~Mark, the head chef is a wonder-man with food! :)
If you do go...the place we always stay is at the Country Inn & Suites in Hixson..it's only about a 10-15 minute drive to the ministry, and there is an awesome breakfast included in the price of your room.
It's a fairly new hotel, and the staff is great!
Do you know that in all the times we've been to Precept, we've never once stayed on campus?
The rooms are ALWAYS full when we finally get around to registering. :)
So..you're in good company!
Love you!
Jes
Hmmmmm-well-I need to give this some more thought.
In regard to cost, since this is a bit of an issue with us right now. I was thinking the package they offered would be less expensive than staying and eating somewhere else, with your encouragement and information I will check further.
Well, it's time to get ready for bed. Thanks again for the info and I will let you know how this turns out.
Thanks a bunch, Jes.
Will have to see what happens from here.
Deb
Jesica,
Wanted to let you know, I called this morning and all seats are taken. There is a long waiting list, but I left both our names, so we will just have to wait to see what happens.
Thanks again for all your information, the lady I talked with said that they usually hold the same conference again in the spring.
Deb
