A Precious Homecoming, and Our Homecoming to Come

I just watched this video, as Denny Burk (www.dennyburk.com) listed it as one of his top 10 You Tube videos of 2007.

I had seen it once before, but this time as I watched the little boy's face, it made me think about what mine will likely look like when I finally get to see my Heavenly Father face to face....and what words I'll likely say to Him.

As I heard the precious little boy say, "I missed you too, Daddy.", through his tears, I thought..."That's it! That's what I want to tell my Abba when I finally get to see Him!"

Do you ever feel that way? Do you ever just miss Him like crazy and wish that TODAY could be the day that you'd be face to face with Him....or that TODAY could be the day that you'd be able to throw your arms around His neck and tell Him how much you love Him?

This world is tough. The pain here can often feel unbearable, can't it?

Won't it be awesome to finally be Home?!

I love how the Apostle Paul put it, though....what encouragement I glean from these inspired words...

Rom 8:18
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Here's the video...as you watch it, think about you being in the place of this little boy, and God the Father welcoming you Home forever.

Thank you, LORD, for sealing us until the day of redemption. Thank you for eternal security through Jesus Christ.

In Him,
Jes

No matter how many times I've seen this video - it touches me every time and I cry! Love how you used it as an illustration to get us to think about our homecoming in heaven. And oh yes - are there times where I just ache for my true home...I totally understand that.

"This world is not my home/I'm just passing through/my treasures are laid up/somewhere beyond the blue/the angels beckon me from heaven's open door/and I can't feel at home in this world anymore..."
