The Crippling of MS

This is what happens to my hand with MS. It goes into a total crippling.

The picture of the most recent crippling is from just moments ago, it started as I was brushing my teeth.

Any small motor skill type activity can trigger it....writing, plucking my eyebrows (I looked like I had two chincillas on my face for 3 weeks, because I just couldn't use my hand for plucking), brushing my teeth, etc.

The pain is excruciating, and I have a very high tolerance for pain. But this is terrible.

Still trying to work through the fact that some people say that I am wallowing in this..or that I just need to fight harder.

I know, it's an opportunity for me to exercise grace...clearly, they do not understand even a little bit what I am going through...the severity of this disease.

Amazing how we judge others, isn't it?

No, I don't wish they were in my shoes for just one day....I wouldn't want that for anyone else.

Yet, I wouldn't mind having them come and visit during one of these exacerbations...just to see what it's like to live in our shoes...

Don't judge other people, ya'll. There is only one Righteous Judge, and His judgements are always preceded by mercy.

Love...mmm, what a gift to give to others! Love and compassion.

Thank you to all of you who have shown us exactly that...the love and compassion of Christ.

These pictures don't do it justice...

I love you guys!
Jes

Oh, Jes... :(
I'm so sorry. I wish there was something I could do to give you a moment's relief.

If you are wallowing in this (which you aren't) but if you are, I'll wallow with you. If you need to fight harder (which you don't) then I'll fight harder with you. If you need to offer more grace and mercy, then I'll offer it too. But I will pray even more for you because I know you need that and so do I. You see, together we can do great things. Even conquer the careless comments of others. Love you much!

Hi Jes -

I stumbled across your blog via Anthemstuff and I have just got to let you know, you are such an inspiration! Your passion for the Lord is contagious! It is so inspiring to hear your story. Jesus shines right through you!

I am praying you will be comforted. Jesus will be with you. One day this will all get wiped away...the pain and tears...but, for now, cry the tears that cleanse the pain! Jesus designed tears that way!

Be blessed today as you fight through your battles. Let yourself know YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD and you are not alone!

Thanks to all of you for your sweet comments!

Jodie, your kind words really touched my heart today. The Lord knew that they would be a huge encouragement to me, and for that I thank you.

Jesus is everything to me. I am still in awe that He can take trash and turn it into treasure for His glory.

Unspeakably awesome, isn't it?

Welcome to my blog. Welcome to the meeting of my precious friends...they will amaze you, as you read their comments.

:)

Ya'll know I love you to pieces!

God amazes me!

Thanks again, Jodie!
