LORD, Teach Me to Study the Bible in 28 Days, and Life Here Today

Brief whine time, and then we'll talk about what's really important...

I'm just tired today.

My baby girl has had a 104+ degree fever since Wednesday afternoon.

There are several other big things that have been on my mind as well.

I continue to wake at 2:45-3:00 each morning...why I don't know.

A friend of mine said that the 3rd and 4th hour watches are calls to pray. I don't know much about that, but look forward to digging it out of the Word.

I do pray when the Lord wakes me at those hours...but it's not the kind of waking that stills my heart and allows me to pray until I fall back to sleep.

It's more of a farmer's wife kind of waking...like an "it's time to get up and at it" kind of waking.

This morning, I almost decided to go out on the screened-in porch and do some Bible study, but alas...it was cold, and a couple of little thieves had stolen my blankets from the library.
No doubt, those blankets are forming a fort in the basement.  :)

My little patient is in the bed, waiting for me to come a stream a Netflix with her.
Please pray for her, won't you?

Motrin is great, but it sure is deceiving!

OK, now let's talk about the good stuff....

I'm getting pretty excited to see what the Lord may be doing with this blog.

For those of you who haven't left a comment on my last post yet, there's still time! I'm taking comments through midnight, and then will post the winner tomorrow.

I promise you...the books I'm giving away are superb!

You don't want to miss out!

Oh and for those who have asked, this is the study I'd like to do with you.

Click here to order the book straight from the ministry.
You'll also be able to take a look inside the book at this link.

Did you know that when you purchase from Precept Ministries, you are actually funding the writing of other studies, as well as supporting mission work in the U.S. as well as in 150 other countries?

How wonderful is that?!

So pretty please, buy your book from Precept. Tell 'em I sent you.
(Just kidding...they'd be like, "who? what? why? huh?!)   ;)

My vision is that we'd all study on our own (Although, how great it would be if you had a friend or several join you?!) and then I'd post questions for you (and your group) to ponder and comment on.

Comments could be anonymous or linked to your profile or blog. Whichever you prefer.

I'd also like to post a weekly wrap up video for you (if I can figure out how to do that!).

This is one of my favorite studies in the world!

It's the one that I'm currently working through with the precious women in our small group, and we are all loving it!

In this study, we'll work through the entire books of Jonah and Jude together, you'll learn about the life of King Josiah and why he was such an amazing leader; and you'll ldiscover the basics of inductive Bible study...the tools which will enable you to study any book of the Bible that you ever desire to!

Did I say that it's an amazing study?!

Please let me know if you would like to join us. I loved the idea of having it during our normal Bible study breaks.

That would mean a start date of November 15th, which would be an introduction day, with the study time being from November 22nd - December 13th.

I'd post the videos on Mondays, but you could watch them anytime during the week that was good for you.

How do those dates work for you?

Gotta go check on my little darling.

Love to you tonight,
Jes
